Synopsis: Sayuri struggles with the decision to tell her young daughter the truth about why her father isn't around.

( She had been asking about her father a lot over the last few weeks... it wasn't fair to her to keep the truth from her any longer... it wasn't right to lie in the first place. )

Synopsis: When the Crimson Dragon finally appears to Ruka, she learns what really happened the night her brother and friends disappeared, but the meeting comes with a difficult desicion that Ruka has to make.

( Juudai wasted no time running over to her and as he reached out and grabbed hold of her, both of them were engulfed by the terrifyingly powerful red light. )

- A Future With Spirits -

Synopsis: Thinking towards her future, Ruka discusses the option of doing an apprenticeship at the Spirit Foundation with Juudai.

Synopsis: After talking to Yuma about her situation and her missing brother and friends, she finds that Yuma reminds her a lot of Rua.

- Tainting of the Pure Heart -

Synopsis: Ruka pushes herself to the limit to try and research a way to bring back her brother and her friends after they vanish. In the process, she becomes influenced by Number 83: Galaxy Queen.

( Ruka. You have an incredibly pure and kind heart, but if you continue this path you are on now, that heart will become tainted and it will lead you into a very dark place that you may not come back from. )

- Awakening -

Synopsis: Kotori's worsening headaches and vertigo causes an unusual backlash of a power that Kotori didn't know she had.

( Through the worry, he still tried his best to make her smile with his upbeat attitude and huge grins. Though she knew behind it, he was hiding a lot of pain and worry over her. )

- Kotori's Resolve -

Synopsis: Kotori struggles to cope in the aftermath of the Heartland disaster, but finds a new resolve through Yuma.

( I want to go home....! I want to see my family again...! I just want to go back home to Heartland...! )

- Reunion -

Synopsis: Yuma meets with his parents for the first time in seven years and learns of his relation to the Astrals.

- Memorial -

Synopsis: While on a Valentine's Day date, Kotori takes Yuma to see the Heartland Memorial she had made.

( As far as Yuma was concerned, as long as his family were here, as long as they were carrying on living their lives, then whoever attacked Heartland hadn't won. )

- Discussions -

Characters: Yuma Tsukumo, Aspiring Emperor Hope, Yuya Sakaki
Synopsis: Yuma talks to Hope about Hope's past as an Astral. Afterwards, Yuya discusses with Yuma the suspicions he has over Kai and Koyo and their possible connection to the Barians.

( The Barian's world... is not Heartland. Do not let the guilt you feel for the loss of your own home, drive the desire to save theirs. )

- The Fall of Heartland -

Synopsis: A mysterious army suddenly attacks Heartland with no warning, prompting Yuma's family and Kotori to flee the city.

- The Airship -

Synopsis: Hope finds himself in a strange place, resulting in the appearance of an Airship at Duel Academy Island.

( Although this was all new to him, the technology and power of the ship felt eerily familiar to him. )

- Talk -

Synopsis: Yuma regains consciousness in his dorm room after fighting the demons and Anti-Hope, and talks to Yuya about what happened.

( The demons and what happened to Desdemona-sensei's been bugging you a whole lot, right? )

- A Chat on the Side of Subconsciousness -

Characters: Yuma Tsukumo, Aspiring Emperor Hope
Synopsis: Hope and Yuma talk about their duel with Alex and the Numeral Hunter, as well as the memory it resurfaced.

( You're... you're my most important partner, Hope! And an important friend to me! There's no way I'll let anyone take you away! No matter what, we'll face everything head-on together! )

- First Date -

Synopsis: Yuma becomes frustrated after his first date with Kotori gets de-railed.

( I really wanted to make today special for you. I wanted to try my best with this, but in the end, it kinda got messed up anyway. )

- The Message -

Synopsis: Kotori delivers a message to Yuma from Alex.

( She could see that the hand by Yuma's side was shaking a little, half from frustration and maybe half from fear. His knuckles were turning white because of how tightly he was holding his hand in the fist. )

- Confessions -

Synopsis: Yuma confronts Kotori about her feelings for him. Akari then later confronts Kotori about the things that have been happening to Yuma while at the Academy.

( Kotori, I want you to tell me how you really feel about me. And be super truthful! ... Okay? )

- Talk Between Two -

Characters: Yuma Tsukumo, Yuya Sakaki
Synopsis: After being forced to duel while he was sick, Yuya is taken to the infirmary in a serious state. Once he wakes up, he and Yuma talk about their situation with Desperado.

( It had been difficult watching his friend suffer while laying in a bed in the infirmary. Yuma had never been the type to just sit by and wait, but that's all they could do. )

- Parting Ways -

Characters: Yuma Tsukumo, Kotori Mizuki
Synopsis: When Kotori's two-week stay at Domino City over the winter holidays comes to an end, Yuma sees her off at the train station.

( ...I've really missed you. )

- Conversations -

Synopsis: After being dragged into a dark game, nearly being killed by the demon, Beelze, and gaining ZEXAL, Yuma talks to Kotori about what had been happening to him over the last few months.

( But even if something bad did happen, I'll be right there to either stop you... or help you pick up the pieces afterwards. Always. )
